20 years of experience

LC Management is one of the leading sports agencies, recognized in the global peloton. Created in 2003, our consulting agency offers professional men and women cyclists all the services to manage their sporting career. Surveying opportunities, contract negotiation, drafting of commercial commitments, support on social networks, and communication as well as legal advice: all our multidisciplinary expertise is at the service of the athlete. Professional cyclists concentrate all their efforts to optimize their sporting careers. Our goal is to support them in their quest for excellence. We do this by remaining as close as possible on the ground, by spending more than 100 race days with the riders all over the world.

Michel Gros, founder of LC Management was the first agent of the discipline in France. Joona Laukka, a former professional rider, joined him in 2013 and then became the manager of the company. Cyril Dessel, yellow jersey wearer during the Tour de France in 2006, and Samuel Dumoulin, who took 30 wins during his professional career, were the first two riders to join the agency. They were then joined by Christophe Moreau, Jaan Kirsipuu, Simon Gerrans, and Jean-Christophe Péraud. Since 2003, more than 200 riders have trusted their careers to LC Management.

We hold an agent’s license issued by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), and an agent’s license from the FFC (Fédération Française de Cyclisme). We were also one of the first agencies in 2014 to join the MPCC, Mouvement pour un Cyclisme Crédible.

A professional cyclist from 1995 to 2002, Joona Laukka was the first Finnish rider to participate in the three Grand Tours: the Tour de France (1997 and 1998), the Giro (1996) and the Vuelta (1995, 1998 and 1999). He successively wore the colors of Festina, Lotto, Benfica, Acceptard and Delatour.

In 2003, he joined the marketing department at Polar (manufacturer of the first heart rate monitor watches) before joining LC Management in 2013 as an agent.

A polyglot, Joona speaks five languages (Finnish, French, English, Swedish and Spanish) and has established himself as a valued agent within the professional peloton. Joona was also a member of the UCI calendar committee and a member of the board of the CPA (the international association for the protection of the interests of professional cyclists). He is the guarantor of the professionalism and ethics of the agency.

Career Management

LC Management takes care of all the extra-sporting aspects of an athlete’s career to give the athlete time to focus on performance. Our expertise and experience provide our clients with a long-term view of a career and maximize opportunities. Our extensive network with all cycling stakeholders (teams, bodies, brands, media) is an asset.

Contract Negotiations

The phase of surveying opportunities and negotiating contracts between an athlete, a team or a brand are essential. Each decision is made in full transparency and full consultation. We analyze the best opportunities so that our athletes have the right decision-making elements at every important moment in their careers. We integrate their values, interests and long-term perspectives into our approach.

Tax and legal assistance

LC Management supports its clients from the drafting of commitments to their signing of contracts. We take care of the creation of a company and the management of image rights, as well as the procedures related to social contributions and taxation depending on the country of domicile of the teams that employ our athletes. Our partner law firm provides legal, administrative, and financial advice. Our experts know the legislation and support our clients in their various steps to define their tax residence and for moving abroad.
